Casey Seaton
B. Physiotherapy
Casey’s journey toward physiotherapy began when someone close to her sustained a spinal cord injury. It was at this time Casey discovered her passion for advocacy, as well as problem solving. For Casey, studying physiotherapy would enable her to fulfil this purpose.
Originally from Lake Macquarie, Casey relocated to the Central West to study and quickly fell in love with the region. She has since put down roots in the community and is raising her two young boys in Bathurst.
Casey works with a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, from everyday aches and pains through to more complex presentations. She has completed additional training in Dry Needling. She has also undertaken further training in the Lyn Watson approach to shoulder assessment and treatment. Casey has also undertaken further training in identifying and managing axial spondyloarthritis.
Alongside her musculoskeletal work, Casey has been developing her skills in neurological rehabilitation. She has completed Level 1 Neurological Physiotherapy training and has undertaken further learning in return to running after brain injury. Casey also undertakes the POTS assessments at Bathurst Physio, which is an emerging, specialised skill.
Outside the clinic, Casey enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors with her boys, exploring the parks and open spaces around the Central West. She brings the same enthusiasm and positivity from her own active lifestyle into her work with patients, supporting them to achieve their goals.
